Despite the importance of non-medical drivers of health (NMDOH) in health outcomes, little is known about the best practices for screening and referral during clinical encounters. Engaging clinic teams, fostering a supportive culture to collect and address NMDOH, and designing patient-centered workflows are vital to the success of NMDOH programs.
